Bambi, a Life in the Woods is a coming-of-age story that follows the life of Bambi, a deer, from his birth through old age. As Bambi grows and matures, he experiences the loss of his mother, the finding of a mate, and learns about betrayal and essential lessons of the forest from his father. But most importantly, he realizes the danger posed by “He,” the term used by the animals to describe human hunters in the forest. In the end, Bambi learns the vital tools to survive in an unforgiving world.

“Overall we loved this audio book. Can highly recommend it. Hearing the actual story compared to the the well-known Disney version was different but the story is well written and we could imagine the world of Bambi and be immersed in it.
